The March – EL Doctorow

A review of The March appeared at Hungry Like the Woolf sometime last year.  Having never read a literary account of the American Civil War this caught my attention, and Kerry’s detailed remarks intrigued me to the extent that I was actually able to remember my intent to read it.  Which is no mean feat.

The novel is a fictional account of General Sherman’ s march through Georgia and the Carolinas.  Continue reading
