The Grapes of Wrath – John Steinbeck

My first attempt at The Grapes of Wrath took place several years ago, and faltered as the fifty page mark neared. Although it took some three weeks to admit that it had stuttered to an irreversible halt.

I don’t recall having had a brain transplant in the meantime, but on this occasion it was a very different read.
